Lyme disease, caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi, is a vector-borne illness primarily transmitted through the bite of infected black-legged ticks (Ixodes scapularis and Ixodes pacificus). As an herbalist, it’s crucial to recognize the prevalence of this condition and explore natural remedies to support affected individuals. During this class Wendy will discuss prevalence, clinical presentation and herbal support in supporting Lyme Disease.
This class weekend is part of our Advanced Level 3 Clinical Herbal Program. While anyone is welcome to register, this class is designed for students who are preparing to go into Clinical Practice or are already practicing. A working knowledge of body systems, energetics, formulation, and clinical intake is expected. There will not be time during the course weekend to teach these topics. Taking this class as an individual weekend will not give any credit towards future Level 3 Certification.
Class begins promptly at 9am. There will be a 45-60min lunch break. Please bring your lunch as there will not be time for off-site dining.
