Herbal Consultations

Julie Beal: Bone & Bloom botanicals

Julie’s first love was for the plants – she studied right out of high-school at UNH and holds a holds a Bachelors degree in Plant Biology. Life changes sent her back to school a few years post graduating, where she also obtained a Bachelors degree in Nursing. She has spent over 15  years practicing in the western medicine field. In those years, she specialized in hospital medical-surgical, emergency, pediatric and community medicine. After many years, and particularly after Covid, she felt compelled to find a way to help people heal at a deeper level. This led her to Misty Meadows where she has now studied with Wendy Snow-Fogg and the other amazing faculty in the Level I, II and III herbalist programs. She is currently finishing level III this winter. Her deep dive into more spiritual healing has guided her to become Reiki certified, as well as study sound healing. She is passionate at looking at both physical and emotional root-causes, as well as lifestyle and environmental patterns, habits and other contributors to overall health. Additionally, she has always loved working with animals and wildlife and has been a working for a local dog rescue for over 5 years. This love led her to an intensive 1:1 study of Veterinary Herbalism with Carol Lizotte of Green Gem Herbals, and she is also willing to consult and help your pets and animals with herbs! In addition to Wendy and Carol, Julie has also had the blessing of studying with Maria Noel Groves through her herbalist program at Wintergreen Botanicals and with Margi Flint at Earthsong Herbals. She is currently teaching for the Level II herbalist program at Misty Meadows as well as teaching as adjunct faculty in the nursing program at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

The story of your life tells the story of your health. Your life experiences have led you to where you are today. Your thoughts have manifested as your physical health. When you meet with me, I want to hear your story and your perception of why you’re feeling unwell. I’ll ask lots of questions about you, your health, relationships, work, etc. I may look at your tongue, face, and hands and listen to your pulses.
