Have you been intrigued by the tiny bit you may have heard about your Sun and Moon signs? Have you tried learning on your own but become confused? Have you taken a “beginner” class only to find yourself lost and confused again? I’ve taken several of those classes and I understand how frustrating and disheartening it can be.

This class is designed for you!

As a teacher of beginner herbalists for 30 years, I’ve discovered a passion for teaching and a particular love for teaching beginners. Throughout these 9 classes, I will guide you carefully and thoroughly along the astrology path. The pace will be gentle, giving plenty of time for each piece of this zodiacal pie to be savored and digested. At the end of the class, you will have all the basic information necessary to read natal charts. This course will cover:

• Planets: Their personalities, rulerships, relationship to other planets, relationship to Signs

• Signs of the Zodiac: Their characteristics, relationship to planets and each other, the significance of where they are in a chart.

• The Three Modes: Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable

• Elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water

• Houses: The 12 houses of the Chart

• Angles: Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, Nadir

• Aspects: Conjunct, Opposition, Square, Trine, Sextile

• The Natal Chart: A snapshot of the heavens at the moment you drew your first breath! 12 Houses, 10 Planets, 1 Moon, 12 Signs. It all comes together here to paint the picture of who you are, how you present to the world, how you think and feel and why, how past life experience is affecting your current life; how do you handle money, conflict, relationship; what are your talents, what drives you…. or holds you back!

• Rulerships: What sign actually rules a chart; you'll be surprised!

The study of astrology is a continuing process. This course is intended to give you the foundation and confidence to embark on this journey of learning to understand yourself, your world and the Universe in which we all live.

•   Planets:  Sun, Moon (nodes), Mercury, Mars, Earth, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron

·         Classes 3, 4

•   Signs of the Zodiac: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces

•    The Three Modes/Qualities:  Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable

•   The Four Elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water
